The Crowded Cookhouse is a licensed, shared-use commercial food production facility in Lancaster, PA. We are fully stocked with professional-grade equipment and tools, and provide many of the services and amenities enjoyed by private establishments. Sure, it’s a little small – but bookings in the main kitchen are private so you’ll have the place to yourself. There is also a small prep space that can be rented independently of the main kitchen at a lower cost – perfect for times when you don’t need to use any heavy equipment.

The Cookhouse is a great place to launch your food concept. Our members run the gamut from startups to experienced food vendors. We host several kitchen-wide events throughout the year and have quarterly cooperative deep cleaning sessions that are great for networking & getting to know the other members. One of the biggest barriers to starting a food business in Lancaster is the expense of building or leasing a commercial kitchen. Additionally, the operating costs of running a large kitchen are astronomically high.
